When the Government of India prefers an affidavit in the Honourable Supreme Court of India which states that

According to Ms. Jayalalithaa, the Writ Petitioner in W. P. (Civil) No. 561 of 2008, the island of Kachchhathivu was historically part of the Ramnad Raja’s zamindari part of the Madras Presidency, and the same would be borne out by records.
Kachchhatheevu, was claimed by Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) owing to the jurisdiction exercised by the erstwhile Portuguese and later the British rulers over Sri Lanka from Colombo. Whereas, the mainland Indian perspective posited itself upon the jurisdiction exercised over it by the Raja of Ramanathapuram.
Delving through the historical accounts, the granting of leases of Kachchhatheevu and its adjacent areas in 1870-1873, 1875, 1880, 1889, by Raja of Ramnad, followed by the Memoirs of the Governor of Ceylon from 1757 to 1762 and the letter of Lt. Governor of Ceylon in 1845, precisely, discloses that the island of Kachchatheevu was per se under the sovereignty of king of Ramnad. Further, it was designated as a ‘vessel State’ under the British India. Further, post-independent India marked it as a territory within the Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu with the survey number of ‘1250’. Moreover, it was also recorded in the ‘Gazetteer- Ramanathapuram’ (published in 1972 by the Government of Tamil Nadu).
It is the mandated duty of the Honourable Supreme Court of India to peruse and scrutinise all the records and documents which would establish without an iota of doubt that Kachchhathivu was an integral part of Ramnad and hence consequently a part of the State of Tamil Nadu as per Article 1 (3) (a), (b) and (c) read with Schedule 1 of the sacrosanct Constitution of India and part of the territory of India, and for ceding a part of the territory of India, there has to be an amendment of the sacrosanct Constitution of India which is a sine qua non. But for all intents and purposes, the crux of the issue, at the end of the day after everything is said and done is who does the meek and submissive spineless and shameless government of India represent! Whose cause do they espouse? Do they represent the people of the Republic of India or do they espouse and facilitate the rogue regime in China? Is it the mandate of the Government of India to hunt and leave no stone unturned to look for elusive and illusive evidence to establish and facilitate the bogus and spurious Chinese territorial claims inside India in particular India's beloved and sacred Aksai Chin in Ladakh, Kashmir? The fact of the matter is that whilst other self-respecting countries would leave no stone unturned and hunt for evidence to prove and establish that a particular area is part of of that country, it is the converse and the other way round insofar as India is concerned! It does not behove the Government of any self-respecting nation to partake in such an outrageous nefarious meek and submissive conduct. India was the country which should have been a permanent member of the Security Council of the United Nations Organisation with full power of Veto in the place of China, but because of the intransigence and unscrupulousness of Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru, the membership was gifted in a platter to the Communist regime in China.
